Vinod Dua graduated with a degree in English Literature from Hans Raj College and obtained his master’s degree in literature, both from the University of Delhi.
He started his career by anchoring in Ap Ke Liye in the year of 1984. He used to host a daily morning show on Sahara TV in 2000-03 called Pratidin.
He has won many awards including Padma Shri in 2008 and BD Goenka Award for excellence in journalism in 1996.
Controversy:
On 14 Oct 2018, Indian film director Nishtha Jain in her facebook post accused Vinod Dua of sexual harassment in June 1989.
He is currently working in Jan Gan Man ki Baat on thewire.in.
Facts:
- In 1947, his family moved to Mathura, where they initially lived in a Dharmashala for a year before moving to a two room tenement which cost them INR 4/month.
- Upon coming to India, his father began working as a clerk with the Central Bank of India and retired as a branch manager.
- They then moved to Delhi, where his father locked a furnished house in Karol Bagh since those were the finders keepers days. But then they found the lock broken in the evening with a family settled over there.
