Deepika Padukone is an Indian actress from Karnataka. She mainly works in Hindi films. She was born on 5th January 1986 (current age 34 years) in Copenhagen, Denmark. She is one of the highest-paid actresses in India with three Filmfare Awards.

Deepika was brought up in Bengaluru, Karnataka by Prakash Padukone and Ujjala Padukone.
Her father Prakash Padukone is a former badminton player and her mother Ujjala Padukone is a former travel agent. She has a sister named Anisha Padukone, who is a golfer.
She belongs to a Hindu family with Brahman caste.

Deepika Padukone is married to Ranveer Singh, tied the knot in Italy on 14th November 2018. Their marriage was unique.

In 2004, she started working as a model under the guidance of Prasad Bidapa. In 2005, she walked the ramp for designer Suneet Varma at the Lakme Fashion Week.
She also appeared in the TV commercial Liril and appeared in Kingfisher Calendar that made her gain a lot of fame.
In 2006, she made her acting debut with the Kannada film Aishwarya, in which she played the lead role of Aishwarya.
In 2007, she got the chance to play the lead role of Shanti Priya in Farah Khan‘s super hit Bollywood film – Om Shanti Om.
Om Shanti Om was a huge hit and established herself in the Bollywood film industry. From 2006 to 2014 she appeared in many movies.
In her final release of 2015, Deepika reunited with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ranveer Singh in Bajirao Mastani, a historical drama about a tragic extramarital affair. This film was a huge success for Ranveer and Deepika.
In 2017, Deepika’s first Hollywood project XXX: Return of Xander Cage (2017), in which Padukone played the lead female role of Serena Unger, opposite Vin Diesel.
