Biography
Tanisha Mukerji is an Indian film actress known for her works in Indian movies, Bollywood and Telugu and Tamil films. She is the daughter of filmmaker Shomu Mukherjee and actress Tanuja Samarth and the younger sister of Bollywood actress Kajol.
She made her debut with the Hindi film Sssshhh… in 2003. She had her first hit with Ram Gopal Varma’s Sarkar, appearing alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan. She also was a contestant, and also ended up as the first runner-up on the reality show Bigg Boss 7 in 2012.

Career
Tanisha was very interested in acting and modeling since her childhood days. Being brought up in a famous Film Industry family, Tanishaa made her professional acting debut with the Hindi movie Sssshhh… in 2003. She starred in a movie along with Karan Nath. Though the movie didn’t do it very well in Box Office.
In 2004, Tanishaa made an appearance in the film ‘Popcorn Khao! Mast Ho Jao’ and played the role of Tanya in that film.
In 2005, Tanishaa Mukerji did acting in the films Neal ‘n’ Nikki, Sarkar, and Tango Charlie. The film ‘Sarkar‘ went hit and received massive success. Tanishaa played the role of Avantika with starring Amitabh Bachchan and Abhisekh Bachchan. Moreover, she receives a huge attraction for her acting skills and stunning look.
In 2007 she appeared in Unnaie Unnaie, her first Tamil debut. In 2008 she made her Telugu debut with the film Kantri, alongside Junior NTR. In the same year, she did two Hindi movies One Two Three and Sarkar Raj.
In 2010, Tanishaa did a cameo role in the film ‘Tum Milo Toh Sahi’. In 2016 she appeared in Anna movie which is a biography Anna Hazare.

In 2013, actress Tanishaa made acting debut in television with the reality show ‘Bigg Boss 7′. She received huge fame and emerged as the first runner up in the show.
