In 1997 he starred in Gupt movie with Manisha Koirala. Bobby Deol also appeared with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on her debut film Aur Pyar Ho Gaya though the film failed to do well in the box office.
In 1998 he starred in Film Kareeb, Soldier (was a great hit). In 1999 he starred Dillagi along with his brother Sunny Deol. This combination also is seen in the Yamla Pagla Deewana Movie series.
